The month of February is shorter, but that does not mean that the releases are few! New CKP and CMP sensors arrive to complement the portfolio of products offered by MTE-THOMSON, with all the quality and tradition in the electronic injection line that everyone already knows and of course, being able to increase the scope of services in the Workshops.<\/p>\n

There are 27 new crankshaft position sensors, covering the Light, Utility and Heavy lines. As for the CMP, there are 15 new items in the Light line.<\/p>\n

But what is a CKP sensor?\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/h3>\n

The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) is an important component of the Electronic Injection System since it measures the rotation of the shaft where it is installed and informs the Control Unit (ECU). If the Sensor has problems the vehicle will not work.<\/p>\n

And what is the function of the CKP sensor?\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/h3>\n

Through the pulsed signal sent by the crankshaft position sensor, the control unit calculates the rotational speed of the shaft where the sensor is installed.<\/p>\n

And what is a CMP sensor for?<\/p>\n

A motor rotates at high speeds and can reach up to 5,000 RPM, that is, 5,000 revolutions per minute or 83 revolutions per second. For this engine to run well, the MTE-THOMSON CMP Sensor reports this rotation
\nto the computer and the computer controls the proper timing of ignition, releasing the spark at the plug and burning the air-fuel mixture at the proper time. Manufactured with the best electronic components, providing excellent performance and durability to the product, it is located on the camshaft in the engine head.<\/p>\n
