By monitoring the pressure difference between these two points, the saturation\u00a0level of the Particle Filter can be determined. This information allows the emission control system to\u00a0perform the regeneration of the Particle Filter, according to the European emission standards<i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10087 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mte-thomson.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/SENSOR-EGPS-300x171.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"397\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mte-thomson.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/SENSOR-EGPS-300x171.png 300w, https:\/\/mte-thomson.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/SENSOR-EGPS.png 513w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 397px) 100vw, 397px\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"mkdf-post-text-main\">\n<p>The EGPS allows monitoring the Particulate Filter saturation by measuring the pressure difference\u00a0before and after the filter. The saturation is also controlled by the Temperature Sensors placed before\u00a0and after the filter and by an intake Mass Airflow Sensor.<i><br \/>\n<\/i>Once the filter\u2019s saturation is determined, the regeneration routine will be started by the system<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Sensor Components<\/h3>\n<p>The EGPS is built with the following components:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10088 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mte-thomson.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Capturar.PNG-EGPS.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"266\" height=\"257\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A.
