A partir da\u00ed, iniciou-se uma nova fase de expans\u00e3o para o mercado automotivo, e no ano seguinte, 30% dos componentes dos ve\u00edculos importados j\u00e1 tinham fornecedores locais. At\u00e9 1960, o governo exigia que 95% dos ve\u00edculos de passeio deveriam ter componentes nacionais.<\/p><p>E foi em 1957, que a MTE, inicia sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o como Metal\u00fargica Termo El\u00e9trica e fornece para o mercado os primeiros sensores de temperatura para motor fabricados no Brasil.<\/p><p>O <strong>sensor de temperatura<\/strong> \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel pela medi\u00e7\u00e3o da temperatura do l\u00edquido de arrefecimento nos motores refrigerados a \u00e1gua e a temperatura do \u00f3leo nos motores refrigerados a ar, funcionando como um term\u00f4metro
