Complementing the portfolio, providing repairers with more service possibilities and fleet coverage, MTE-THOMSON announces new developments in the Electronic Temperature and Injection lines.
Five new models of thermostatic valves are incorporated in the Temperature Line and a MAP sensor and a Rotation sensor in the Electronic Injection.
Temperature Line
The thermostatic valve is responsible for keeping the coolant that circulates inside the engine operating at the ideal temperature for which it was designed, preventing it from overheating and the consequent damage to other components,
including the complete stoppage of the vehicle.
Each valve model has an opening and closing schedule, depending on the type of engine. Please see the MTE releases for this important item below:
VT577.89 – For vehicles FORD, models C-Max, Fiesta, Focus, Galaxy, Mondeo, S-Max and also for Volvo, models C30, S40 y V50;
VT578.87 – For vehicles Audi, models A3 y TT, Seat vehicles Altea, Leon, Toledo, Skoda Octavia and also for models Volkswagen Bora, Eos, Golf, Jetta, Passat and Passat Variant;
VT581.95: For utility vehicles Mercedes-Benz C-Class, CLS Class, E-Class, GLK-Class, QM-Class, Marco Polo, Sprinter, V-Class and Vito;
VT582.81 – For utility vehicles Nissan NV400, Opel Movano-B, Renault Master and Vauxhall Movano;
VT583.88 – For vehicles Alfa Romeo Mito, Chevrolet Aveo, Citroën Nemo, Fiat Doblò, Fiorino, Línea, Panda, Punto, Ford Ka, Opel Astra, Combo, Corsa, Meriva, Peugeot Bipper, Suzuki Swift, Vauxhall Astra, Combo, Corsa, Corsavan, Meriva;
VT584.83 – For Citroën C-Elysèe, C3, C4, DS DS3, Opel Crossland, Peugeot 108, 208, 301 and Vauxhall Crossland.
Electronic Injection Line
For the electronic injection line, the new 71101 MAP sensor can be applied to BMW vehicles, models 135i, 335i, 535i, 550i, 640i, 650i, 740i, 760i X3, X5, X6 and Z4.
It is worth remembering that the function of the MAP Sensor is to inform the control unit of the absolute pressure present in the intake manifold, whose pressure is a measure of the engine load. This information is used in the calculation
of the admitted air mass and in the calculation of the ignition point advance.
The new Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP Sensor) 70656 was developed for replacement on Renault Fluence, Logan and Sandero vehicles. This sensor is very important for the electronic injection system because it measures the rotation
of the shaft where it is installed, informing the Control Unit (ECU). If the Sensor has any kind of problem, the vehicle will not work.
All releases are now available and can be found at the best dealers and auto parts stores throughout Latin America.
